Earth Day 2017 Beach Cleanup

Coastal Angels hosted their 21st beach cleanup on Earth Day April 22, 2017 at Bolsa Chica State Beach, Tower 27 in Huntington Beach, CA. A total of 65 volunteers participated and collected 73 lbs of coastal pollution. Coastal Angels appreciated every volunteer that came out on Earth Day to help protect the environment.

Become a Coastal Angel

Coastal Angels is a growing network of volunteers who dedicate a minimum of three hours a month picking up trash on our plastic plagued beaches. Our volunteers are primarily students and clubs who need to fulfill community service hours - and participating in a beach cleanup is a fun way to do that! Wewant citizens and marine life to actually be in a safe and clean environment.

Coastal Angels Celebrates First Anniversary

Coastal Angels is celebrating their first anniversary and 10th beach cleanup on March 26, 2016. 

On March 25, 2015 Jacqueline Winberg created the group Coastal Angels. What was the trigger? The movie, “Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch,” directed and written by Angela Sun. It revolutionized Saturdays for Jacqueline, her husband Robert, and friend Meghan.
